I asked a while back about the GO 2103 pipe & how it compared to the GO 2072, I was just wondering if anyone has had any more time using the 2103 & how it performs.

The reason I'm asking is because I found an online shop here with a couple of GO pipes but it says the 2103 is used for more bottom end than the 2072, but going from what I was told here, the 2013 has slightly less bottom & more mid to top than the 2072.
I suspect the online shop might have got their info wrong but I just wanted to check & make sure as I don't want more bottom end than I already get with the 2072.

Thanks
Paul

From my research, 2072 is package pipe while 2103 is more mid n top pipe, some psychical inspection:
1. 2072-there are 5 hole together at bottom side of pipe
2. 2103-4 hole separated equally around the pipe
Anyhow it depends on track n ur engine characteristic to do some matching for performance. If budget is good then get both else 2072 is way to go. Maybe some pro will share better opinion

I had a 2072 but broke it a while back, my engine is modified (GX-5R) & has a fair bit of bottom end but also good mid & top, it seems to have good strong power right through the rev range. The 2072 was a good pipe but I have to much low down power, only slightly less would be good as I still want it to be good for short run ups etc.
Is there a smaller/shorter manifold that would help in any way.

actually the manifold will help but most important is the matching pipe, u can use any of the aftermarket manifold which is quite cheap.

I only have the manifold that came with the 2072, its looks to be long compared to the XS reds manifold on my brothers buggy, so was thinking a shorter manifold would help a little with the 2072. I'm waiting for the hobby shop to call back as they were going to see if they could find out for sure, but as long as the 2103 doesn't give more bottom & gives more mid/top then it will work alright on my engine.

Also, I was just looking at the GO Champion 4 port engine, it comes with a 2104 pipe, is this 2104 pipe the same as the REDS 2104, the shape is different so wasn't sure if they worked the same.
Is the GO 2104 pipe a mid to top end power pipe similar to the REDS 2104 with xs manifold.?

Bite the bullet and pick up a Werks EFRA 2058 pipe and header - you won't regret it. Magic pipe, and will do what your asking plus give you more run time as well I would say.

Yeah I was thinking about that, would be less stuffing around.
Might have to give Laz Racing a call in the morning.

Rang them this morning, both have the 2058 in stock, only problem is they don't have Paypal set up just yet & I had to use $$ already in my Paypal account, maybe a 2058 next time.
So I found a place with the 2072 in stock (& Paypal) & ordered that instead, should have it by Friday, would of been 2 weeks before I got the 2058.

Bummer - we do Pay-Pal, and could have had a 2058 over to you within 5 - 7 days.

Thats ok, I do want to try a 2058, they sound like a great pipe, so will look into getting one later on,
I mainly just wanted to get a pipe here asap, the shop has the 2103 pipes as well but I'm not sure about that one at the moment, I know the 2072 works well so that will do for now.

Thanks.

Stick with the 2058. It will give you what your after in the way of powerband.
The 2013 is a great pipe too, but is more of a bottom end pipe.

You will also pick up around 45 sec - 50 sec extra run time with the 2058 over the 2013.
There are heaps of guys over your way running the 2058 on OS, Nova, RB engines etc. It seems to be a universal top performer on most engines.
Contact Ben or Wade when your in position to give one a try.

Yeah I will have to get a 2058, they do seem to be one of the better tuned pipes out there, hopefully LRD will have the website & Paypal up & running soon, will look at getting one once I get a few other things done, it should work well on my engine.
I was also offered an EFRA 2035 to try out so will see how that compares to the 2072 & my brothers REDS 2014 pipe.

Does Gx2plus crank shaft fit part 21-0907T1 fit underdog project 4port? Is it worth the upgrade, rear ceramic bearing s well.
