I guess that disproves some of those "$200 engines only last 2 gallons" posts.

Hi,mike sent me a gallon out of the very first mix[25%] engine ran like crap. We figured that maybe to much oil got in it. What % are you running?

FYI the GX 2 HO will be coming out with the original carb. Go Have followed suit with me. We will however be going with my Needle taper design to make the GX/MG carb easier to tune. The Metering of the HSN in particular will be changed to give a less sensitive HSN needle.

We may introduce the new carb at a later date.

Thanks for listening :)

Correct- They are still working on the 3-needle. The initial GXII carb will feature a longer LSN and a smoother throttle slide.

Mark- Is the new HSN the same taper as the double sealed HSN on the GX series? Here in the US, I believe we changed midyear to the less sensitive version.

All Carbs will be changed to the new HSN design remaining with double sealed HSN . All carbs are identicle world wide. The HSN Change that i suggested last year never took place. Its about to with the new carb for 2011

I have recommended against changing the LSN needle and only changing the HSN for the new HO.

the MG66X will only have a HSN needle change. If Go Follows suit for the HO im not sure at this stage.

Cheers MM

Thanks for that Mark. I am actually quite releived to hear that. I wasn't really looking forward to introducing a new 3 needle type carb onto my customers, especially since we are having so much success with the current GX long needle version on both the GX and MG motors.
These carbs are so easy to tune now we have the "long needle education programe" in place and working well around the globe :).
Having said that the re-tapered needles will be a nice improvement on an already good carb.
I run the MM re-tapered needles in my MG66 and it certainly improves the tuning window, especially with the HSN not being quite so sensitive.

Looking forward to the release of the new mill with great enthusiasim :tire:

yes sir...i personally think the present carb is great:nod:....i will run the 2 needle carb through the life of my GXII 5RHO.....so far the pics of it that max posted look like a great change for Go Engines:nod:....cant wait

Should be some detailed pictures to post up on here soon. They are in the process of taking some promotional pics with the motor as it will be released (new motor with GX carb), so there is no confusion in the customers mind as to what they will be getting.

Great result for the new motor in China. The meeting that Max Chen posted the photos from was I believe the first public debut of the new motor.
They ran the motor with the GX carb and new needles (same package that will be released onto the market). Got TQ and 1 - 2 - 3 on the podium. Not a bad first outing :)

Makes the wait even harder :D
