I un the Dynamite 086. Not too expensive and a perfect match for the 5 port, the only difference between the Dynamite 086 and the GO 0801 is the GO pipe has a longer header. I chose the Dynamite only because of the reinforced stinger, you can get them for just under $50.

Johnny you will have plenty of power for that buggy with a 3port race engine.

the diference between the 3,5,7, race engines is the powerband, the 5 hits hard in the bottom and has good top end. the 7 has unlimited top softer on the bottom but still strong on in the mid range, and teh 3port is a kind of inbetween that is a good choice for buggy or truggy and a all around engine. you can use the powerbands to suit your car and driving style.

the 086 pipes do provide excellent performance for a great price on the engines but the 801 offers the same performance but does do better on fuel economy, thats its biggest strength.
Just go in 1.5 turns on the LSN to start. It will be a bit rich on the bottom at that setting. Then just slowly turn the LSN in bit by bit until you have the tune spot on. Leave the HSN at .5 in and only tune with the LSN from here.
IMPORTANT: I should have mentioned earlier - make sure you have your idle gap set correctly at .7 - 1mm max. If the idle gap is too wide you will struggle to get a good tune for sure.
Check LSN tune with pinch test (see tuning tip on page 132 from Massive Mods on how to do this).

Cheers
Hi Grizz,

did this last nite, and man, u are so right, .5 HSN and 2.5 LSN, the engine can now idle even until 10 sec. without dying. Now that i got the "basic tuning" right. How to tune this engine for performance? Will i only adjust the LSN? How will i know that i had leaned too much the LSN?

Thanks,

Are you using the right type of glow plug for the motor??? The only way thats possible if there is mega presure in the motor that cant get out of the exhuast ports OR the glow plug in question doesnt have the right thread to suite the Motor.

Be sure to do a complete rebuild and check the deck ht. if you had two plugs blow out right away the coils can stay in the engine and cause pre mature wear on the piston sleeve and even the bearings, besure to clean everything out and start over.
