TrakStar SEG .21 Thread.
So I ordered this engine and pipe combo from Hobbyking.com I have ran 1 race on it so far. I struggled with tuning more than likely just my fault and weather. The only problem I had is the engine managed to fire backwards during Q2 not sure how that happens seeing everything else was set up properly. Q3 I Nailed the tune and this thing had more power than I needed for a decent sized track. Heres some pros and cons I have found so far.
Pros- Cheap as all get up Engine+pipe less than 100$ shipped It has a good amount of power even tho its only a 3 port standard type sleeve. Fit well in the buggy no akwardness Big aluminum head to keep it cool. Felt plenty powerful enough for most tracks. Cons- 3 port. no mid range needle little to no info on the internet or website about stock needle settings etc. no venturi included for truck it managed to start up in the opposite direction (hopefully a fluke) Overall for 50 bux for the engine and 30 bux for the low end tourqy pipe (not the high performance pipe listed) I am happy with it. It has more than enough power, Once I nailed the tune it held it and ran strong the whole time. Temps were great but dont have a reader just do it by feel. In the future I plan to Purchase a new one and port/polish the sleeves in one of them for some fun testing. https://hobbyking.com/en_us/tracksta...e-for-car.html |

I will close the thread for now.
