Default Ofna!

Thanks for all the input!
Not sure where it came from, but I got a serious on road bug at the moment.

If anyone has an Ofna DM-1 not being used, I'm in the market.

Email is best: [email protected]

Otherwise I'll get one new.

I'm also thinking about a F1 electric car. F104v2 or similar...

Is anyone local at TZ1 or TZ2 running a spec F1 class?

Thanks,
-Tommy

T-roy Mcplow has a killer deal on his DM-1 and Dana McKee has one for sale. F104 is a good car, also the Sakura FGX is a great choice with the rear independent suspension, I believe Timezonehobbies.com has one in stock. I am able to pick this up and bring out to you if need be.
Anybody need anything from Marks? I'm heading up there to pick up more GT8 Tires, Let me know.

I've been thinking about getting into on road and take a break from off road. I'm curious as to what is a good class to start with?

I have a couple vintage RS4 Rally cars, a nitro mini rs4, and a couple Bolink legends. Would any of these be a good choice or should I purchase a new one?

Also what about F1 cars? I was looking at the Sakura and it looks sweet. Are the F1 cars hard to drive or pretty good for a somewhat beginner?

Thanks guys.

I dont know much about the cars you have listed above, I have only been doing this for a few years. Our main Electric classes are;

Scale Spec, the same chassis you would use for touring cars except you must use a realistic car body, 190mm OR 200mm (no Mazda, LTCR touring car bodies) HPI D compound tires VTA, X-Patterns, or slicks 26mm or 31mm wide tires. 21.5 Motor Blinky

17.5 Blinky Sedan, Your standard touring car class.

F-1 21.5, have not raced much with these. Inexpensive car to get into, people seem to be racing the Sakura for its rear suspension or Tamiya F104.

The outdoor track is easy on most cars not having boards to crash into

The Hpi rally cars are 190mm 4wd belt driven touring car chassis. I just bed wheels and tires for those. The nitro mini is a 1/12 scale .12 nitro powered touring car.

The legends are what I was hoping to race. They were a blast in the 90's. I'll have to come for a practice day and try it out.

Thanks for the help.

With a Rose City Membership you can come out for all our practice days, usually Sat. or Sunday and get half price race fees. The Hpi cars would be perfect. 190mm body you would want to run 26mm tires all four corners.

I've the body covered. I have an Hpi 200mm 1970 mustang body. Looking at getting a second body as well. I'll throw my 17.5 in it and try it out.

Thanks

Tommy, mine is sold to Colin. Dana's is available. You might also talk to Tom Davies as He can get OFNA. He looked them up when he was out and can get you a good price if your wanting new.

As far as F1 I would look at the TRG and the new VBC cars as well. I personally think the straight axle is the better way to go.

I can't make it on Sunday but hopefully you guys get dry weather. My car is coming together. I am down to shocks and electronics.

My wife and I will be at Timezone for the Poker Tournament Saturday afternoon.

What is the address? I can't seem to find it anywhere. Lol

I think I might just have to come check it out with the kids. We were wanting to find something to do on Sunday.

What should the roll-out be for Stock Spec?
