So, as of last night the lawn is freshly mowed, the apex defense domes will be painted yellow, and I've counted our supply of spec tires. We should be good to go for this Saturday. That said, if we run short of spec tires, out-of-towners and Stock racers will be the priority. I will assign alternatives in the following order:

Korey Harbke--Tamiya TA05 kit tires on blue plastic rims
Jake Danilchik--10-run Sweep 36s from Stuart's 2017 TZGP leftovers
Brian Shook--center drilled Oreo cookies
Stuart Mason--rims

That should leave plenty for the rest of us!

And wouldn't you know, those are also the top of the discard pile at races with active tech. To be fair, they're not the only ones getting popped, but to be real, they lead the way.

I'm not sure if that answers your question in the way you're hoping, but those are the fast motors. Buying off the shelf, probably you'll be okay. Or to put it another way, so long as you're running a ROAR-approved motor, you'll be okay. We don't have the equipment to test stator IR with a credible degree of accuracy. You could be running a ROAR-approved motor that doesn't meet the ROAR spec, and we won't know.

FWIW, I'm running a Motiv in Stock TC this summer.
did i say thanks yet? if not thanks, I just read this, I think

Double stuff in the front regular in the rear. I'm experimenting with a wider front.

As promised, the domes are yellow. Stuart handled this one, so thank him. They'll be nice and visible next time out.
