Any inkling on when this might be? I'd love to help out - however work calendar is quite full lately so I gotta plan ahead.

The Comp Committee is meeting tonight to hash out onroad items. Also, Bodine will beat me about the head and shoulders regarding our budget. Also, Alex should have a plan and materials list for the driver platform. I'll post as soon as I'm able about a work party to build it. Apologies in advance for short notice.

Also, I'm bringing in approx. 250 yds. of fill to bring the backside of the track to level grade with the pad, extended 20 ft., and then sloping to the silt fence. Earth moving is included. All for free. It will take a few weeks, but first loads have already been delivered.

Offroaders! You should have another dump or two of really clean stuff showing up, if it hasn't already.

I do like me a good dump or two. Just not happy about it if it arrives without my knowledge.

Default Outdoor Onroad Racing Rules

Some results from last night's Comp Committee meeting.

First, begin with our core class rules: https://seattlercracers.com/specsrules/

Modify with the following addendums:

Scale Spec: in addition to the Novak 25.5 and silver can motors, add "Any ROAR-approved 21.5 BL motor and rotor."

Stock Touring Car:
"Open rubber tires."

Modified Touring Car: "Open rubber tires."

Formula 1: no changes

1/12th Scale: no changes

Novice: no changes

Addendums apply for the duration of the 2016 outdoor onroad season only.

Other classes may run at the Race Director's discretion. In general, 3 makes a class. All vehicles must be clean and prepped for onroad running.

happy to see 1/12th on the list. I believe the 12th scale guys that haven't tried asphalt will be pleasantly surprised.

I want to bring you up to speed on the track layout for Seatac.

Jake and Korey were at the track on Saturday, practicing for most of the afternoon. They took the opportunity to adjust the layout that was down and test some concepts. It proved very fruitful and Jake took the experience and presents a design that will serve as our baseline moving forward. It is attached.

There will be one more day of testing this weekend. They will have the sprayer on hand to lay down some stick and dial in the design with dots and other temporary markers. From there it will be measured and scaled on paper.

We will then move to fixing the permanent features. I have 80% settled on a concept for the berms using thin pavers and finishing concrete. My goal is to have all pavers down by Saturday, May 21. From there, we will move to painting after the Memorial Day weekend.

If we hit those marks, I am confident we can make project delivery by July 2, with our opening race on July 9.
