Practice is allowed Saturday until 5 pm.. in the past the races have taken brakes and some of the guys practiced during the breaks...

One thing is that pit space will be at a premium. Saving spaces has allways been allowed after the gas race. However you may need to squeese in even more.

doors open early and I would suggest being there at open :-)

So I'm guessing a Panther switch would work for 4mod and mod truck? Has any body tried Double Dee's? And what compound in either tire is recommended?

Almost everyone at TRCR runs panther switch clay compounds.

Bar codes better, neither really your best choice..

Losi pink Bk & Panther switch, both proven & fast tire..

Default 17.5 / T-4 gearing

I am getting my gears tomorrow for my 17.5 / T-4.
In my searches I'm hearing 4.9 to 8.5 FDR.
Does anyone know the lowest spur/pinion that I can fit without changing slipper? It sounds like you can't get a low enough FDR with stock slipper, but I was just wondering how low of a combo was possible.

Novak recommends a FDR of 7.6 for 17.5. To get this ratio on my T4 I used a Losi slipper set up because they have the smallest spur gear at 76T (LOSA3933) and a 26T pinion. 76/26 = 7.6. Use the Losi set up (pads/spur/plates) but the T4 spring and nut.

Paragon isn't the hot ticket, it just wears your tires out three times faster.

So it makes them wear as fast as Losi Tapers?

Paragon still performs great . Best results come when you use it the day before or at least 3 to 4 hour before racing...

If you still need more traction, reapply again for 2 to 3 minutes and then wipe off tire..
or tune with Death or Buggy grip....

Caution , this will soften tire more and tire wear will occur faster...
