North End Slash Meet.

North End Slash Meet.
I am looking to see if anyone would be interested in having a play/race day up at J+S Hobbies (Schmidt's) in the very near future on a Saturday.
I am thinking August 9th as the first session.
Very simple rules, we'll just do some heads up racing pretty much loose and unorganized. There won't be any timing equipment involved, just heads up short racing for 5 to 10 laps. We'll run them back to back until the batteries get soft, take a break, and do it again. We'll start mid morning (11-noon'ish) and go until you feel like leaving.
For now this would be an unorganized deal, just a bunch of us meeting up there. Practice will still be going on for everyone else, and they charge $5.00 for all day practice.
It has potential to evolve into something else, maybe get a transponder system out and do some organized heats, but I am thinking of keeping it fun and simple for now.
Thoughts?

Hmm. Ok. Don't know where that came from, but...anyway.
2 speeds? We're talking Slashes here....most people will fall asleep waiting for their Slash to get around the Area 52 track. Hence the term "North End Slash Meet." Slash..as in Traxxas Slash. This is not a open invite play date, I am looking for people who just want to run their Slashes. Yeah, you can bring something else, but the point is to get a bunch of Slashes on the track at once and have some fun.
The JS track is a good size for these things, it will keep it tight and fun..plus it's also going to cost half as much and be much closer.

It's basically about 3 miles south of where Peel It used to be, State Ave was the street you turned off of to go down to Peel It, J+S is on this street but a few miles to the south.
Easiest way to get there:
116TH ST EXIT just North of Marysville.
Right (South) on State Ave
Approx 1 mile on the left hand side, just past a Walts Radiator & Muffler..if you make it to Fred Meyer you've gone too far.

Just an FYI Wes, the 9th is the final round of the RC Pro Series at Skagit River Raceway. I know some of the guys running that series also have Slashes and would love to run down at Johns, but I think they will be running for points at Skagit. But hey 4-5 of them is still fun as hell, so go for it
