I've had a lot of cars over the years...only car I really regret selling is a 1962 Nova..blue with a black vinyl top.. Early Chevy II's are probably the best cars ever..it was a toss up between a 62 Nova Wagon, or this car here when I got a new project for this summer...
I am working on this '62 Karman Ghia...this isn't going to be a full resto, I am just making a ratty driver out of it...I have some better pictures somewhere this one is kind of horrible, it's about 80% done..
There are a lot of us car guys racing r/c....seems like one leads to the other, models and r/c lead to real cars, real cars eventually led back to r/c..
Your car looks like your going pro street...I had a 69 Chevelle SS396 I did that to a long time ago...hilarious car to drive..you can't help but smile when rolling around with something like that. I miss that car too but it was such a huge pig, even with great suspension it was still like a elephant on roller skates..
I kinda want to build a donk next but my girlfriend would probably kill me..

dang looks like "Bug In 45" in that driveway. being a old fart, i was around for the "glory days" of the VW. witness some just outstanding customs. can't remember all the names. but if you ever got to see, think his name was mark deacon or something like that, if you ever got to see is karman run it was stupid fast for the times. he was building a twin engine "scat" funny car got to see it before it was finished and not sure it was even ever finished, then there was a guy how build a chassis outta a chunk of one piece billet alum.
and a friend of mine built a chopped bug that was voted one of the top 5 cars of the 80's by Hot Vw's magazine. think it was in the march 90 or 89 issue. maybe i'll do a internet search for a old magazine and fine a picture. heres a old time memory, i remember when and watched top fuel driver cory mac when he used to have a mac attack vw powered rail. for comparison, set of 45mm weber carbs, they were like 300.00 bucks and you had to save for a few months for them.
