Mark, I've been meaning to ask you: When do you think this Friday racing will start?

Adding a third race day to the program is not going to benefit competition. It's going to turn into a Saturday results. RCHR is going to divide it's core racers and dilute the strong competition that's been rejuvenated into Wednesday racing. Shit, it's the best racing around, and I, we, and us would like to keep it that way.



This is only my opinion of course.

I think Fridays would replace Saturdays....

The "Saturday slump" is temporary. Everywhere is in the same slump. Fridays at LIR is a graveyard too. Maybe a LIR guy can chime in.. Steve Plackis where you at kid?

Galimods host 20 peole or so.
RC Hobbies and More host 20 people or so.
RC madness, doesn't get a electric crowd usually.
Control freakz is hosting only major races due to low to non existent club races.
RCE, club racing host 30 or so.
LIR fell off the map...
My point is all the tracks race once a week and still don't have strong turnouts if any at all.

I'll say this much and then no more for risk of self-incrimination.

Once our season is over outdoors up in Winsted, most of our SCT and truck/buggy guys will be heading down to RCHR for Saturdays. Not sure how many would be into the Friday night thing though.

Everyones posts have rings of truth in each one of them. It makes it hard to decide which direction to go.

I suppose knowing this happens every year, makes it expected. But trying to do something about it is a whole nuther ball game. If there is even an idea that will work, seems impossible to know for sure. Looks like Mark is trying to sort that out and basically try something new in an effort to bring in NEW customers.

But regardless, who is down for Wednesday Worlds tomorrow? Myself, Lamar, Scott, John, Greg, and Sam Rodrigues(whoa!) were all practicing 2WD and 4WD last night, hopefully a good crowd tomorrow!

Thanks for chiming in Andrew. Glad to hear the turnout is decent. I work until 8pm now on Fridays which don't allow for me to get to LIR, but maybe I can squeeze out early one night. ttyl
