lol. No, I was tuning it last night and rebuilt a whole new gear diff, but you know the shims in front of the orings on the outdrives? I need an extra one, it seems like the gears are spacing apart and causing diff to roughen suddenly. I heard it was a common problem, just like the original sc10's had same issue. So now, Im just waiting on tensioner spring for thrust bearing on a ball diff and I will have a complete BALL DIFF to just use that.. at least I trust it and can tune it.

Ill just have to run buggy for now, or perhaps 4WD

I have a ton of those shims on the way. The stock ones warp way too easily. I have 100 or so of those small o-rings if you need a few as well.

Yes, that would be great! Where did you get shims? What is the witdth of them, or did you get thinner ones? and size of orings? Thought they were an awkward size

A whopping $2.95 for a bag of 100, accounts for a lifetime supply. Do they work? Yes, perfectly...not close, not kinda sorta, perfectly.

Second issue. The shims behind the outdrive crosspin are a wee-bit thin and tend to deform after prolonged use. Not a big deal, takes months of weekly racing to do that, but if it could be eliminated? Also, those shims only come with a bevel gear set. Couldn't find much in the 5x12 (stock is 5x12x0.15), but found the perfect replacement. Racers Edge 5x10x0.2, "RCE10403." Again a steal...$1.59 for a pack of ten. Fits perfectly, doesn't deform and supports the entire crosspin.
Stolen from here.

Looking forward to getting back into the racing routine tomorrow night. (only 2 min away from racing tonight!!!!)

Will probably spend most of practice putting my cars back together and pulling quite a few parts of the wall. I can't even begin to describe the parts I stripped off my RB5, RT5 and ZX-5 to keep my SC in one piece last weekend. Rough track in enfield and 7.5 turns had it's way with the short course. My box looks like a used car junk yard!!!

See you tomorrow.

Mark mentioned something about starting at 7 p.m. which would get us out at about 10 - 10:30, personally I think it's a good idea, if we all pitch in, we can get racing started at 7.

John B.
I'll will also be running my 4wd probably next week, I've been working on my Vintage Car all week and have neglected all my other cars.

Coming Soon to RCHR: 4wd Wednesday Worlds....

My car still needs a diff rebuild, and I don't know if my motor is any good, It was shutting down on me.

I want to run a 10.5 in it for the indoor layout.
