Airtronics dont make any radio equipment. They contract Futaba to make everything. So basically both are standard Futaba crystals repackaged and rebranded. Even the standard Airtronics servos are just replica S148/S3003s.
I have a few Airtronic standard servos and have mixed the parts with proper Futaba gear to make up a good servo out of 2 after a bad crash with my R/C plane.

I run different servo setups on my nitro stuff than I do on my electric M8 futaba-futaba reciever-airtronics crystals-JR8417 digital servo(speed and 150 oz of torq) for steering futaba 9302 I think ive got new cases on my futaba servos and I can mix the endplay and trims and subs in my radio so that thiers no digital glitch in the JR servo

I'm being punished with a heavy cold now I'll have to rebuild my car next week when I've recovered.
This weekend I'll go and watch the final round of the southern German 1/10th and 1/8th championship - should be good; it's at my local track, too!

And for goodness sake, get Michael to autograph your car. Perhaps some of his magic will rub on ya

But I don't think he'll be there - he'll be at the national championship for sure, but then I can't make it.
Don't worry, the D1 will be there at the weekend

D. Its just works better for me, more traction and more steering. Not a very technical explanation i guess With only the rear sway installed the car would oversteer and tend to spinn out
But Im afraid that the car rolls lateral a bit to much in the faster corners so i will trim down a rear swaybar to 1mm.
I have not yet ordered the new fc-blocks yet, thats the next trick i will try. But I, as a newbie, try to change only one parameter at the time...

Yep,
We are all guilty of that one. i did it just a few weekends ago and completely ruined my weekends running. Forgot what the original set up was too so I got really frustrated and just gave up.
Making one change at a time is definately a must regardless of whether you are a beginner or seasoned racer. Another good tip for you Johan is to write down everything you do. It will allow you to have different set ups marked out that work or dont work so you can change the car in a hurry if the weather changes dramatically (not uncommon in my part of the world. lol).

Modellor, Regarding Futaba-Sanwa/Airtronics
What do you mean by "Airtronics dont make any radio equipment. They contract Futaba to make everything "?
Should i take as that the M8 is made by Futaba? Or applies it only to recievers and tx "moduls"?
Just trying to understand the industry

How much droop are you all running. I have been running 0 in the front and +8 in the rear.

Nice 4mm chassis there!!
Man, that chassis looks like a slade!
Yeah, I havnt weight the car since I put on the Serpent 4mm chassis. I'm guessing it will add 10~12grams.

So the summary of my setup with the following below should yield a super oversteered car but it was nice to drive in the end.
small front tires
toe out +1
softer front compound than rear
a lot of rear droop +4
Perhaps this was a cumulative "problem" of running the front roll center too high with the smaller front tires and the front upper arm mod.
I must remember to take it one step at a time

I don't think it's hit the road soon because at the moment I'm trying out other stuff and see if they work out first.
