With the 6 clutch bell you only have 2 bearings to worry about but with the 6r you have 4 bearings to worry about.... I think I rather stick with 2 😂. To be honest I have some reservations on the 6 and 6r in terms of reliability especially the 2 speed clutch. It looks as if they decided to chuck the MTX clutch inside resulting in inconsistent gear changes and you have to screw the screw so in to delay the gear change. Most of us now have reverted back to the MRX5 2 speed which is more reliable and consistent

trying too pick out a car for my return to 1/8th. i'm just a club racer and don't want a car that will have limited support and be an orphan in a year. hows the mugen in this dept?. they replied very fast to my email but i see the mrx 6 a few years old now.

The 6R does have most parts of the older 6 so no problem there

As Roelof Stated, Mugen is one of the easiest to find parts for. If its any Consolation I am still racing my MRX5 as my main chassis.

thanks for your input guys..as a "joe nobody" racer support goes a long way.

Mugen also have a new model after quite a number of years. Among all the kits available I would say Mugen bring out a new kit the slowest so rest assured your kit will not be obsolete anytime soon and have a good supply of spare parts

Hi, I just bought a MRX6R as my first car after intermission of nearly 20 years from 1/8 onroad. I am looking for a setup similar to my local track which is quite technical with short straight of less than 100 ft. Any help appreciated

I've had both cars and used both clutches. The 6r clutch is better. You get more snap and it's very consistant. It's very tuneable and easy to use and set. It last just as long if not longer.

for anyone that uses the precut diablo bodies, are they mounted where they need to be or is it better to use an uncut body and put it where you want it?

Seriously what is happening with Mugen? First the MTX6-R is impossible to find stock and now the MRX6-R?

With a normal lifespan of 3 years of a model it does not fit, for sure with 2 models designed by the same person it does not fit.

I asume there is another populair brand taking over the market by giving away and selling them with discounts. This is what I do see arround me.
