sts rs12 modified turbo .12
is the reliability, durability and performance of the sts rs12 modified turbo .12 engine as good as a jp racing modified mt12?

The STS is a VERY good engine, but comparing this $125 engine to a $250+ engine like the JP is what I call "stretching it".
Btw, I got their .15 engine for my Impact and it hangs with the RB's and Nova Rossi's.

haha
i guess so, the sts modified rs12 is rated at 1.35hp, which i believe is very good and i dont think that they're giving you a false rating,
i belive the jp has about 1.5
correct?

My STS 3 port Mod took me to the victory circle yesterday. Needless to say, I'm Very happy with the $125 investment...

haha, wanna know something funny?
i talked to one of the guys named dino from sts customer service and he said that the STS RS12 turbo handmod has pretty much the same internal parts as a jp but the external parts are different. They say their engines are so much cheaper becasue their made in taiwan(or something like that). So, i guess ur paying that additional 125 bucks for a different look, lol.
peace out

It should run great because it has the designs and workings of the fast motors so I don't doubt that at all. I think that the issue here is just the durability and long term reliability. My experience with certain Taiwanese motor manufacturers have been less than satisfying and I've found that although they were designed great, the materials used were quite different than their Italian/Japanese counterparts and reliability suffered. Keep us posted on your long term experience!

Like I said above, I have the STS 3 port turbo, I'm running it with a ROAR legal standard plug. On the inside its just as pretty as the JP, cut crank, the intakes on the sleeve are shaped and set for flow. This weekend will be the 4th week I've run it. I like it

i thought that the internal parts of the STS RS12 handmod were almost identical to novarossi!
ohh well, i am also surprised to witness how long the engine last, if it does, it will be the best 250(canadian)dollars i've ever spent
