What battery holder is everyone running when you run a Lipo. I was thinking the brass on but do you need to go heavier to meet weight?

depending on the rest of your electronic and stuff.
Servos and engines can variate in terms of weight a lot.
Normally you should be fine with the brass tray (i use tesla servos and engines, 900mah Lipo, light PF body, and capricorn tires).

I am using the ultra heavy version as a setup option, cause you really feel the more weight on the lowest
part of the chassis what can be an advantage on high traction.

Thilo,

Not sure if I thanked you or not, but in Thailand when you were put in the lower heats with Luke, you drove like a true professional and gentleman. You didn't rush the slower guys and I didn't even know you were in the same heat you drove low key. Smart driving..

Thanks for not putting pressure on all of us in the heats and well done. Good luck for Gubbio.

Thanks for the info. 900mah lipo battery? Is that enough power to run all day with out charging? I am running Murnans M12, SRC body and Highest aluminum servos. I will start with the brass plate as the heavier ones are way more expensive.

It is enough for 45min Final plus 3min warmup plus 10min timeout.
i recharge 700mah after that.

If you plan to go for 1hour final 900mah could get you into trouble but on normal races never an issue.
The energy need of your servos are quite the same.

@blis
cheers, its some time ahead until gubbio but thank you anyway,
i just treat others like i wanted to be treated , most of the time

Greetings

I'm using the brass option 1100mah life, light PF body and low profile servos and I had to put some weight otherwise I would finish the final with an ilegal car =D.

I would use the special alloy option if it wasn't so expensive ^^.

GL for gubbio Thilo and see you there

Did you finish breaking in the engine after ettlingen 1/8 EC? Just kidding xD I was there the next day and you were doing the track in both ways Nice track btw really enjoyed racing that EC.

Question for Thilo,
On your setup sheet for Full Throttle you show Yellow Springs. Are those the stiffest 8th scale spring or are those yellow big bore electric touring car springs? And if so those softer than the softest nitro big bore springs?

Thanks Again

They are the electric yellow springs and yes, they are softer than any big bore spring. If I remember they are the stiffest Electric spring of the ones we carry.

Default C03 Set up

Hi Guys,

I had a couple racers ask for my set up from the recent Miami Grand Prix Race.

Here you go and if you have any questions just ask.

For low grip change the following.

1. 60-80 rear diff
2. 4.6 front springs, 4.1 rear springs
3. less caster so put the front upper arms a little more forward. Use a 1.5mm clip behind arm
4. if after this you need more rear traction lower the rear lower pins 1 position
5. use Protoform SRS body for low grip also
6. also you may consider using the rear camber link longer and with 3mm shims if the car slides too much off power with these changes.
