The two and three shoe clutch only works good with both the ofna diff lock lube and (19/25)tooth dynotech pinions... The punch is incredible, and will be even better with the dynotech aluminum clutch bell... The mtx3 clutch is too heavy for me, and it will not simplify things... 1670 grams and under will make the Ntc3 competitive....
I had a terrible time with the two and three shoe clutches. I honestly never had any issues with slipping nine years ago. Luckily, I was able to dig up my MTX-3. I pulled off the centax clutch and it fits great. I will head to the track this week and hopefully get to enjoy this relic again. Here's a pic of the Mugen clutch.

Ok guys, I just received the Dynotech aluminum parts:
Ntc3 aluminum clutch bell: 4grams
Ntc3 aluminum diff outdrives: 8grams
Ntc3 aluminum spool : 7grams
Ntc3 lightened flywheel(two shoe): 3grams
So, I will shave 10grams off the bell, 17grams off the diffs, and 12grams off the spool, for a combined 39grams loss on the Ntc3 drivetrain...I will still use my three shoe flywheel though... That has to produce amazing results on the track.... My Ntc3 will drop from 1693grams to 1654grams overnight....WOW.... THANKS DYNOTECH RACING !!!!!!

I am currently at 1654grams with two fullsize servos(20grams over each) and a novak glitch buster capacitor(10grams) on the receiver... I would be down to 1604grams with two low profile servos, and no capacitors.... The Ntc3 can make it down there...

I am not going to use the titanium disc brake(drag racing only), the lightweight 2 speed bell(hard to find), the titanium input shafts(even harder to find), and the lightweight flywheel(drag only), so that's another 8grams that can be shaved off my Ntc3 on top of the 39grams lost with the dynotech parts + 6grams lost using the titanium driveshaft/ ceramic two speed balls, etc,.... Over 45 to 53grams lost on the drivetrain alone is enough to give Ntc3 lovers the boost they need to compete with the newer cars... It looks very promising for the Ntc3, and I can't wait to test my car this summer at FBF or Port Jervis.... I know I still need to improve my driving, but I am more concerned about my car's acceleration versus the competition...If I can outpunch everybody(including the 8scales), then the Ntc3.2 is a winner in my book, and should be re-released with the necessary upgrades by Associated......Cheers....

I just moved and found my NTC3 box. In it are a complete car, many extras, many titanium and carbon fiber and other after market parts. The great news is that I only ever ran the car for part of one race, probably a total of 30 minutes on it. Anyone interested?
