Iam going to do this to my pipe tonight. But a thought came to mind. What about the baffle on the inside. Wouldnt this cause this to get distorted or do the little holes allow enough pressure to get through.

Im guessing im going to put half of the water in and turn it on the side that has the dent. Would this work with the pressure of the water or would it just squeeze upward. Does the pipe need to be completely full and sealed?

if the pipe isnt fully filled, the water will have somewhere to expand. so yes, you have to fully fill the pipe so when it turns into ice, it expands fixing the dent.

Great, congrats on this ...

When you do it again next time (hope never) ... try to put the entire pipe filled with water inside of a couple of ballons ... i do this and its great cause when the water need space to expand itself, it just go out of the pipe expanding the balloon ...

If my wife saw my tuned pipe in the freezer, she'll won't just throw the pipe away. She's bound to buy another fridge. Thats why I'll just buy another pipe than buy a $1500 fridge.

This hobby is so addicting, that its like a drug, only more expensive, and legal.

You,smart guy! I have two fridges now....
When she knew I use oven to disassemble the engine's bearings, she did not get mad. She just smile and told me that she want a bigger and new oven for a long time already. of course I paid....

I don't recommend leaving it in the freezer over night. I left a pipe in there for several hours once and it cracked the pipe. It will also enlarge the whole pipe so it looks a little swollen. I wrap a few zip ties around it and I check on it every 30 minutes... works like a charm.

Use a zipper bag to enclose that fridges generator, I think clean enough, not need over night but check interval it will expand within 3~4 hrs, Dino…luck I haven’t using oven but I have two hairdryer now
