Yeah. I had radio problems all day. I am not sure but I think I bought that front lower arm from you. I thought about it afterwards when I saw the Serpent USA decals on your car.

"Guys, just got back from the race and thought I'd share some good news ( and some bad news ). The good news is I TQ'd the 1/8 Spec class with my 960/ZX-21 setup! I struggled on Friday's qualifying and didn't complete any race due to a glitch in my receiver. I got that fixed up and put my game face on Saturday. After a little motor tuning (special thanks to Lou La Duca), I was able to secure the TQ spot in the 5th qualifier. The bad new is I didn't finish the main due to the side belt popping off (twice) and a faulty throttle servo which pretty much put the nail in the coffin. The side belt was completely my fault. I replaced all of the belts the night before the main and just forgot to adjust the belt tensioner.

It was a good showing overall for Serpent. Brandon McNally was stupid fast. He is one heck of a driver. He qualified 3rd and was holding on the second place when the rear belt/pulley stripped.

Until next time...

Kirk"

Thanks Kirk, my 960 with MF MEGA was awesome, the car was on rails.Good to know that Lou helped you he held me up in my fourth qual costing me TQ. The start of the mains was bad, usual first corner pilup putting me on my lid.My 960 took me from 8th to 2nd and I think driving strapped took my rear out.The track was very good, traction consistent.Special thank to Paolo for the MF MEGA and all the help this weekend.

I like R&D. It looks as if it completely replaces the rear sway bar. The sway bar linkages pivot on the rockers connected to both ends of the shock.

Do you think its a sway bar?
It is classed as a damped sway bar and is generally used when the track is bumpy. The extra shock adds stiffness to the vertical suspension so the standard spring rate needs to be reduced ( yellow springs used ). The main effect is to keep the car stable when it finds a bump mid corner ( a standard anti roll bar just transmits the bump across the car and makes it unstable )

I also notice that the body mount is fixed rather than floating ( reduced unsprung mass ) - another trick to get handling on a bumpy track.

And finally - nice MUGEN single piece brake disc in there - looks factory
