Thanks and best regards,

Orfeus, in fact it is not a new car. Is the same 960 just with some optionals added and a few harder plastic parts, but it is the same car, all the same. All the manufacturers update their products in order to improve it

The extra parts in this Fabio Dominan kit easily total $60.00 or more (?) at retail, but are free in the kit. This is a fantastic promotion!

Come take a look!

Default Light flyweights

On the weekend I was at a new track testing a bunch of new setups. One setup I was trying was using the new flyweights without grub screws. I put them as described in an article by Glenn Cauley. Gave the 960 a run and within a few laps the clutch bell had shreaded the top of the clutch shoe making it so small it couldn't even reach the clutch bell any more. After cleaning everything I put on a new shoe and tried again. Once again, the top of the shoe was shreaded to dust making it too small to be used as a clutch shoe.

I have never seen this behaviour with any centax clutch.

Being a 120km from the nearest hobby shop, and only having one shoe left, I swapped out both the clutch bell and went back to the old flyweights. Car working just great now but I want to use the new weights.

Can anyone guess why the shoe would get all grinded up. I've never had a defective clutch bell before and I can't see how the flyweight could cause the problem.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Rob
