Ha... Ha... Ha.... what an insult

it's USD $33.90

I'm not confident with GPM product and if you look closely, the design is not good because the joint section is outside the cup / outside the bearing.

My rear diff has 30,000 weight oil in it. Should I thinken it and use 50,000 ?

With that track layout, I'll go with 100,000 weight. You want the rear tires slide a bit at harpins and get maximum traction at exit.

Holy spappin pine cones ! OK ... I will have to beef it up from 30,000

Much appreciated.

How about gearing, any suggestions. I was thinking of doing the 19/16 side belt conversion and going with 21/59 1st gear and 27/53 for second.

Wow.... I don't know the best gearing for that track. I think the best gearing scenario would be something like this: rather tall first gear for all short straight after hairpins ( middle section ) and the second gear will only engage at 1/3 of long straight all the way to next corner.

btw... what engine ?

Will be running a RB X-12 3 port non-turbo stock engine.

Turbo's not accepted yet at track !

ahhh so abit of sliding for off power turn in gives best lap times ill remember that.

but why does a solid like rear axle give more traction at exit? is this with the car pointing straight or still turning out?

yeah..... infact I don't use recommended silicone oil for rear diff. Instead, I use tamiya ceramic grease ( over 100,000 weight ). Tighter rear diff allows you to slide when the car enter a corner and get maximum possible traction from both wheels as soon as you exit the corner at full throttle.

rear solid axle ? please don't

front solid axle ( spool ) is the new trend in these days. Some like it and some don't. But it depends on how you take the corners. I heard from local racers that solid front axle / spool have quicker lap times...... perhaps it carries more speed when the car enter a corner.

Default MTX-3 & OS Tr engine?

Does anyone have this combo? I pulled my RS12 and tried installing an OS Tr engine in the MTX-3. It seems the OS carb is too big....? I tried moving the angle of the carb but it still hits the radio plate. Also, with the barb at 90deg from engine (same spot as the nova) the carb will also hiot the brake disc on the other side. I was thinking of dremeling out the radio plate to achieve the throttle opening, and tilting the carb slightly to avoid hitting the brake disc
Is there an easier way to do this? Maybe I should just stick with the NR engine...?

a friend of mine just added some shims to the engine mount, it doesnŽt dissipate heat that well but it adds clearance to the carb.or you might try the spacers that come with os pullstart engines and voila, youŽll have space to move further the engine and have enough gear mesh

Is it the bottom of the throttle pull that hits? If it is can you loosen the screw, and rotate the throttle pull a little to make it clear?

Every time I tried really thick oil, it made the car have less turn in.Unless you were on a hi bite track.A stiff rear diff off the corner tends to make the car slide more. (Think of a real car with a posi traction rear end) you can do doughnuts very easy with it.

Hey Slotmachine ! What would you recommend as SETUP (diff wise) on the track I posted ?

I would say 30.000 or 50.000. Is it high grip? It looks like lots of traction. What tires do you run?
