it seems as if my car goes though the gears a little slow for me, i race a technical track with at least one good long strecth, what are some suggestions for gearing. i asked the guy but of course i didnt remember it or right it down (in front of him )

I am running the 16/19 conversion with a metal 16 kawahara rear side pully and belt......the problem is that the 16 pully and belt are worn away very quick....belt replacement after about 4 meeting and pully about 8 meeting. Is there any plastic gear out there a can replace the metal pully with coz i noticed that the 19 plastic pully with very little wear !!! Hence was thinking if i replace the metal one the belt would last longer. Is there any other similar conversion that i can use to make the front tyres wear more quicker like the 16/19 conversion?

Just get the Mugen pulley set as sugested and use the 16T that's in there. You might try soaking the side belt in WD-40 over a couple of days. This helps soften it up and all should be good.
As a side note, we use the 3Racing 16T alloy pulley - 'cos it was available quickly and locally at the time. I'm not a big fan of 3Racing stuff but this pulley is holding up just fine. When it gets worn, we'll just swap to the Mugen plastic one.

While on the subject of gears, does anyone know of a 19T first gear (0.8M)?
I believe Kawahara make one but thought there might be an easier alternative - maybe from another make of car.

For instance, you'd have more chance of finding some time by experimenting with clutch set-up.

OK, seriously then. The 0.8M gears are more efficient but I wouldn't be expecting to find anything difinative and measureable in lap times.

considering my motor is rather "old" and not having a suitable pipe , and also the 'gear' thing.... i imply that i could have improve
my time and lessen the difference of lap time from the top guys when i rectify the things i mention above...do u agree...
(..i also assume the top guys r havin perfect setup of everything compared to me...)
If you are a novice driver the best thing you can do is practice turning laps at the track and get your lines and braking points spot on...this will give you the best effect on lap times.
Once you are comfortable with the track start experimenting with the setup

Yep, Picard is right. There just isn't anything significant in the gears.
Spend money on tyres and time at the track - there is no escaping this.
I was saying to Picard yesterday that I counted some empty tyre boxes I'd been keeping for a while, just for fun. There were 86 boxes and that's not all of them.
