Hi... just got a new MTX3 kit... and i have been reading some of the newest pages of this thread, and i'd just like to ask a couple of things:
1. what are the differences in the spring rates (1.7, 1.8 etc) 2. ever expereinced the front diff touching or rubbing against the steering linkage? 3. are CVD's necessary? or will the dog bones do? how do i properly space the dogbones so that they won't fall out? 4. any tips on measuring track width, so that i adjust the left and right pivot balls equally? 5. any necessary hop-ups? thanks in advance... BTW, i have been running an NTC3 for about a year now, and one of the things that attracted me to the MTX was the diffs... - jason |
Originally posted by tIANcI To be honest I have to admit Kenji's set up is a nice base for my Mugen. I started off with the following: Fr droop - 1 mm Rr droop - 4 mm Fr camber - 2 degrees Rr camber - 3 degrees Fr toe - 0.5 degree out Rr toe - 3 degrees in Springs - blue Oil - 40 wt Fr diff - 10,000 wt Rr diff - 1,000 wt Fr rollbar - flat Rr roll bar - stock The set up was nice enough for a small technical track, small as in about 100' x 50' (was more of an EP track). will try out this set-up... what blue springs are you using? the stock ones or the dark blue springs? and 40wt all around? |
