now need to wait for a couple days for the tires to get to him:)

Tires ah yes tires...that's what I really need from him and I can't get them because no response. Hopefully he'll have an online shop. That would be GREAT! and maybe I can keep my car because I know in the past once my order was placed I get the package 3 days later.

I see some are talking about parts availability for Mugen cars. I decided to part with my MTX2 mostly because of this problem. I thought that it was hard to get parts for it because it was now a discontinued model. So I tried to sell it but no one wants it because they know that parts are hard to find. Then I bought the MTX3 in hopes that since this is the current model of 1/10 sedan for Mugen, the parts would be easily available. I find out it's the same problem. I raced the car for the first time this weekend with great success but I was nervous because I knew that if I broke something, my race day was over due to a lack of parts. Half the parts I need are out of stock. I live in Canada and I ordered online a few times but with the exchange and customs fees it becomes much too expensive. So I have to rely on my LHS but the way he works is, if Horizon Hobby doesn't have it in stock, then he can't get it. So again I'm left with a race car with no spare parts.
I contacted Mugen Racing a couple times about this and I'm still waiting for explanations or better yet, a solution.

i feel deeply sorry for you guys.

Personally, parts support for kits are important.
If i din have parts supports here in my hometown, i prob go for
the next best thing... its really sad.:(

prob you might want to ask your LHS if its viable to stock up, otherwise its a real pity, no matter how good the car is.

I think Mr Lam is so busy he does not have time to quote prices.
I just ask to purchase the Items and the reply is fast and prompt.:D

In the past when I finally did get my order through to Harmony the shipping was FAST! Actually faster then some shops ordering within the USA.

Am I being unreasonable? It's just hard to not have the small parts available when you need it most. With other cars I have better local parts support.

If you lost your one-way outdrives, and are in a rush or want to upgrade them, pick a bag of the xray one-way outdrives.... harder, lighter and cheaper, lost a Mugen outdrive and swapped for them without a problem.

If you need spare parts, check with speedtechrc, sure that Steve will make wonders when spare parts is related. With a next day or 2nd day shipping anything will be at any place of USA in time.

A little bird told me that Mr.Lam wants to take a guy who will be in the charge of e-mail inquiries, so the lag should be shorter.... let's see. Seems that are overhelmed by questions and orders from all over the world of some hop-up, spares and accys maniacs for Mugen.

This is just my personal option on things sometimes your local hobby store want carry some product because of more cars more parts for those cars, but the manufactures get blamed for lack of support, hobby stores should step up and help the people that help them, meaning there customers.

Why would someone want to stay in a hobby when they can't get what they need to continue the enjoyment of that hobby?

With all of this said I will try to get more hobby stores to carry more of our product.
:) :) :) :tire:
