Turbo engine

I know you guys have lot of expereince about outlaw engines. I currently have a standard sirio on my MTX-3. I was planning to get the sirio outlaw coz i can get it from tower for 135. but I find this sirio to be a little touchy on the settings than my MT12 and O.S.

My choices are down to Collari 5port turbo, RB Concept X12 5-port, Novarossi RS12 (turbo 5-port) and a Novamega 5 port MS.

They are around $200 so just on my budget. I would like to get the Rody tuned but it's too much $ for my engine budget.

Can somebody help me out with the choices i have? What can you say with your experience with the engines above?

TIA!

always go for novarossi base engine if you want to play safe. i.e. collari is not under my consideration.

MS 5 port ? i would say this is the same as S5 just with a snake name on it.

so, the choice goes between RB 5 or S5.

depending on your track size, RB 5 has better bottom end while S5 has better top end.

it is all up to you to make your own judgement. this is just my personal opinion.

the main shaft is hardened hollow steel shaft.

i forget to tell i have mugen front CVD.

after some runs. it seems 3 racing has harder material on the CVD and it hasnt show any wear on the pin but mugen cvd has bad wear on it.

yes, mugen front and rear CVD are exactly the same thing but you will get two extra 0-rings with the front CVD pack. the o-ring is for the front oneway outdrive spacer.

the car performs excellent out of stock box with the stock setting.

there are only a few hop up that is really required to boost further up the performance such as
kawahara rear sway bar, engine brace
mugen CVD (front) and alloy hex

What does this Kawahara rear sway bar look like link to a pic would be good or pic on your car. :D
And does it go stiffer than the 2.5mm mugen option sway bar?

So you saying that 3 racing cvds are better?? :weird:

After how long did the mugens start to show wear?

here is a picture.

it does go stiffer then 2.5mm and it gives great traction and steering at the same time. the best thing is you can still use the stock spring with softer tire.

they are in different location so I cannot really say which one is better. i might just get a pair of 3 racing and test it on the front.
