What I like to do is to look @ the body painting services that are listed on HPI's links page. I go through some of the sites galleries' and choose. I like the paint jobs of custom rc bodies better b/c you can go crazier... full size cars sometimes are too bland, with an exception to a couple of drag cars (scott canon's Oakley's car :eek: :cool: ).

The reason I suggested real touring car bodies is because they sometimes have really nice basic and simple designs that still catch the eye. Often times its easier for people starting out to paint simpler designs, though this donesnt mean simpler designs cant be interesting.

If I've done too many bodies in one month, I usually go with other sources of inspiration... easier to do sources:lol: :rolleyes:

I think you took my post the wrong way dude. I wasnt trying to force anyone to do something my way. I was just giving a suggestion. I personally like alot of paint schemes of real touring cars. That's just me though. So I dont see the point or the reason for your sarcasm. :confused: :rolleyes: chill out.

I totally agree w/ you b/c when I do a body, it gets so bloody complicating that if I paint to many times, I get tired and stick with simple yet effective color schemes and patterns that are most often found on full size race cars...

I was trying to say that your source for inspiration is just as effective and valid and useful as my usual source. The sarcasm comes from my brother, he is the most sarcastic guy on the planet and it unfortunately eeks out of my pores and shows itself as an ugly whitehead (neat symbolism, got to practice my english;) )

Thats ok Im2lazy... I think your posts are always good and fair, so that's maybe why I was taken aback a little. But I understand now what u meant and accept your apology. :)

btw... if your doing very basic geometric shapes and straight lines, is there any benefit to using an airbrush as opposed to spraycans?
