Lets say 15 euro a set is 27.000 euro, devided by 54 drivers is 500 euro above the 100 euro licence so the licence will cost you 600 euro and then you have payed for 5 sets of tires a race.
Not to mention the extra 1 or 2 persons neede to hand out the tires and counting who has used how much.

As a driver you may think it is easy, but as an organiser it is a disaster....

So yes, let the saucing begin, every driver can choose his own tires and sauce and he can even make a choice if he want to sauce or not.
No offense meant; but I think that you're underestimating the number of people needed to administer control tires. Look Roelof; it looks to me like EFRA is basically saying only that control tires will be tried for a year. Control tires will only be used after that if EFRA members want it; and there are many like me who believe that its a good chance that it could be scrapped or changed, when all possible problems and input from participants are presented. I've not seen any suggestion yet that IFMAR will follow, and it probably won't happen unless it works at EFRA.

All these different and sometimes emotional arguments about the problem are harming the sport; and I sincerely hope that something sensible can be worked out, that will be agreed to by all.

Kindest regards,
Lars.

no one will ever be happy with the outcome. as Roelof said the cost for host club to manage the huge amount of tyres for a controllled event, it isnt always counted as a $ value either, members need to sacrifice time, and even competing in the event. so no one will ever be happy with either outcome.

all race cars in IFMAR event are controlled by IFMAR rules.
on this 2012 IFMAR 1/10 IC World Championship event, i see some race cars was dis-qualified cause of the rear wing.

about weight limit...
2012 IFMAR 1/10 IC rules => http://www.ifmar.org/pdf/rules/ifmar...ck_2012_V2.pdf

[5.9] For 2012 and 2013 is the minimum weight without fuel: 1650.00 grams (including transponder).

and you should see [5.19] for general dimensions of race car.

Thank you very much smith9turbo,that was why I asked,see 5.9 "for 2012 and 2013...:1650gr" so 1650 was the minimum weight and not 1725gr.

Well, by IFMAR rules and my current car weight, minimum weight will never be an issue with me!!! But at least I know for IFMAR, I could shave some weight off my car without being too close to not making weight at all.
