if you don't have a setup board, use a ruler. even an elementary ruler works. from the middle of the chassis, measure 99mm to the upright on both sides. you will end up with a 198mm width car with the width equal on both sides (very important).

When you say meaure to the upright would that be to the outside edge near the wheel hex.

wait, put the wheels on and measure from the center of chassis to the wheels. i am sorry. i use a different method to measure my car which is from the center to the upright...

anyways, you should be 99mm to 100mm on both sides with the wheels on.

After racing gas for a while now and running my first race with a 1/12th scale, I now remember why I got out of electric in the first place. Damn, when does summer start in Chicago? This weather sucks.

I had it working good at 1 track, went to another track and messed with it all night and it was just crap. I was 6 laps off the pace. The car was complete garbage. Anything you know about setup for a sedan, throw it out the window for the 1/12th. It is a completely different animal.

Joe, Joe, Joe.

12th scale is so much easier to setup.

LOL so true , so true. I still try to keep it fun though no matter what, just gotta hope your limit of fun is good enough to stick with the top runners.

Dude, I had it working pretty good at one track, then I go to Trackside(where the big Novak race was a couple weeks ago) last night and it was just complete crap. Chased it all night. And they only run 2 heats and a main. I think I can fix some of it by cutting a new set of tires but it was like 20 degrees out and didnt want to go out and do it. ALso, at this track they make you use Jack the gripper compound($11.00) and it sucks. It has a brush instead of the little cotton dauber that most compounds have. I am just pissed that my car was crap.

The same happens to me here, but... must confess that I don't miss so much the hellish freezeing I've suffered in the past when I was on the Windy City.

Here, at least, we're getting some nice quantity of rain and some cold (5ºC)...
