Please don't call this a sport. It's a hobby.

(No offense..)

Best way to learn the ropes? Same as with everything else - learning by doing....

Since you're posting in the onroad section, I assume you want onroad. Search around for a good deal on something that's not too expensive - a 1/10 HPI or Traxxas RTR or whatever, then just go for it and have fun. And that's what it's all about.....

Sport and hobby are very well related because the sport comes from the hobby. Just do not call it a job.... When it becomes a job you will loose the meaning of the sport and the hobby.
