I'm not looking for a bargain basement price, besides my LHS said they can order me one for $330, I just thought this was a good price for $200 new shipped.

Good to know, Ultimate Hobbies is a good shop too. Maybe I should go through them instead, cause I was feeling kinda uncomfortable about sending money to someone who I don't know. The guy won't even leave his phone number so I can call just to know who I'm dealing with. Thats just bullshit to me, I'll just order through Ultimate. Once again thanks for the info - Chris

Hey guys, I was about to pick up the full set of springs for my Mongoose. I was just wondering, has anybody know if they fit on Tamiya shocks?

I'm running Associated springs on my car and they fit just fine. They are a little longer that the Team Magic springs but if you true your tires down to about 61mm, they allow room for adjustments.

Mr. Richey,
How can I find more info on your engines? Are they modified Katana engines?

Default 1 Year On!

Hey Guys,

It has now been a year since i owned the Team Magic G4, since then a new steering system an two new clutches have been released for the car to fix well documented issues, But has it fixed the issues?

At the time i was also struggling with the brakes with them either staying on or not having any at all. I noticed you can now get racing pads and a new brake disc, did this work????

I am not having a sledge, but just wondering if these issues have been resolved. I am looking at making a return to R/C in the next little while an have not ruled out getting another G4. I look forward to hearing from you shortly.

BB

Bundy I use the big plate second series clutch and the UFO both work perfect.
The team used the race pads and new disc since they came out no issues.

The new low friction belts work perfect I have not striped one yet.

In fact the cars got so reliable towards the end of the year it was almost boring.

Congrats big T
Congrats Ray J for a hard run Midwest series. Number 5 ain't bad. considering the spread was about 25 points

Default G4 Chassis #K1499

Hey has anyone heard of the G4 chassis from KFactory, part#1499? A 4mm 7075 chassis w/carbon stiffeners? Anyone ever see it? And if so, how does it handle?

Thanks Motorman

In the end i became frustrated like many others i am sure with not being able to run for a full 5 minutes. I think what made it worse was the fact that i knew the car had potential...

Congrats Brad T. in Vegas!!

This has been a really fun year racing The Goose. I'd really like to thank Dennis and Brad for all there input this year. I know we all talked alot about set-ups and developed ways to make this car better. Dennis and Brad both helped me alot!!

I'm really looking forward to 2006. 2005 for me was learning this car. It was for finding set-ups, tires selection for all the diffrent tracks we race on. 2006 will be the year!!

Default G4 Evo III

Guys,

Is the Evo III the same as the Mongoose? Does the Evo III have the S Class gears ready for the UFO clutch?

BB

Edit: 17-10-2005 @ 10:00pm

Ok, After some further research i noticed that the Mongoose (K1487) comes with a different chassis to the Evo III (K1479). So i am going to take a stab in the dark here an say that in order to run the UFO clutch on the Evo III i would need to purchase K1492 S Class gears, K1487 C/F Side mounts & would i need to get a different chassis.... I think i am mega confused now, time to hit the sack
