if you have an AM Radio, you will have glitches anytime you connect the glow driver or go to tune the engine with a screwdriver. If you have FM this does not happen with a good radio.

I have this happen to every car i've had, and i've always used FM radio.
I currently have a KO Esprit II, but after chatting with Mark Green today, I will be ditching this for a complete Sanwa system (TX/RX).
He changed, not by choice, 3 years ago and has never looked back.

Why do you need to change to Sanwa? KO not as good as Sanwa?

The experience here seems to be the opposite. Many people I know switched from M8 to Helios.

The KO is a better radio. One of the only that you can customize with your computer. Rings tones and Menu system. Plus the speed of the radio is better.

Sounds like you have a chassis problem. I have never had a problem with my helio, in anything nitro. But i make sure to take care of anything that might create a glitch too.

Guys, changed my Rx unit and the problem has gone - well, except when I touch a metal surface on the car with a metal object.

Thanks for the help, Mark.

I would think that after 15 years of racing that I would know how to set up the radio gear in a car.

I am just curious how you setup your antenna, the wire comes out from your receiver. Also I would check the power supplier to the receiver. If the power supplier (battery + lead) is not on the chassis (but still connected), would touching the metal surface on the car with a metal object casuing the glitch?

Hey I have been in the hobby for 18 years, I think i know what i am doing, but you know what? No matter how much experence you have, you still over look things, i don't care who you are. Its just like the engineers for the space shuttle, they got cocky, and lost one.....Anyhow I was meaning to help not to put down...........
