Default Brakes

Hey guys I just ran my rrr for the first time this weekend and I noticed the brakes went away really fast on this car. What have you done as far as upgrades to give this car more consistant braking. Thanks.

Use an aftermarket aluminum brake lever or wait for the Kyosho one VZW063 which is coming out soon.

yES I know that but ist the numbers suppose
to coincide with your current track width. because mines dont.

I do have an alm. brake lever but the brakes still fade after about 3-4 times used. Any other suggestions.

Check your servo and linkage. Also check if your stock plastic brake holder has melted. Replace with the aluminum brake holder if that's the problem.

Hey man sorry to point out the obvious, but you never know. I have tried this system on a 710 and rrr and it seemed to work fine for me. I am guessing that you are using a rrr also. Do the tires you are using have a built in offset? This may be throwing off your measurements. Other than that I'm not sure what to say other than good luck.

You know, it may be the servo. It may not have enough torque to hold the brake firm. I don't know though, because I know others that are using the same electonics and not having problems. (However they are using different car, 710). The brakes work great the first 2 times I use them but after that they turn to crap. I have checked brake holder and re-adjusted the linkage and the brakes still didn't improve. Oh well who needs brakes anyway, right?

I have the same problem with my new kit. I lost total brakes twice in the main and thought something had broke. When we were running the FW-05R my friend got the APP brake set and said it got rid of the fade associated with the stock pads.

Do you have the WC kit? If you do then it should read 4mm narrower or 196mm. The 2 deg. offset wheels account for the missing 4mm.

I use 16/60 and 22/55. I tried 23/55 but it was too tall for me.

Did you get a RRR?
