Best fuel?

What is the best fuel to use for .12 nitro engines? I'm running nitro sedan - 20% nitro.

I've tried O'Donnell, Trinity, and Blue Thunder. I haven't really noticed a difference between them, but thought I'd ask which fuel on the market is the best.

Omar 08-17-2004 06:48 PM

i just started using white lighting, i like the fuel alot:nod:

fastharry™ 08-17-2004 06:54 PM

I used to be a trinity/wildcat disciple....

I switched to Sidewinder,and haven't looked back....
Lets my RB's run like OS's........

BTW,Horizons new white lightning formula is mixed by Morgan fuel....

the same people who mix Sidewinder....(though they are different blends.....)....

Z 08-17-2004 07:51 PM

Byrons is the best!!

SERPENTFREAK69 08-17-2004 08:49 PM

USING ODONELL ALSO I LIKE WILDCAT...

racinghobbies 08-18-2004 04:15 AM

We mix our own fuel. It's called the "L" Teach special but when we are not using that we like Mugen Racing 30%.
Great Fuel.

Thanks

SalvadoriRacing 08-18-2004 04:55 AM

the best brand is probably runner time, their fuel is the choice of novarossi and serpent drivers and most of the top drivers in europe..............

Mugen Power 08-18-2004 07:11 AM

In Hong Kong..most people use Tornado/O'DonallˇK
For me,i could choose O'Donall 30% although it's the expensive one in Hong KongˇI

e420x 08-18-2004 08:44 AM

What do people think about maxys? I have been using Odonell 20% and just bought a gallong of maxys 30% to try

jag 08-18-2004 09:48 AM

I know many people using Maxy's and they all seem to like it. I use O'Donnell.

S.Stew 08-19-2004 10:35 AM

not yet, sounds good thow.

eddiethefish 08-19-2004 10:52 AM

Wonder if it'd be ok if they were to be mixed: says all are 20%

Byron + O'Donell + RocketScience + BlueThunder = 1G of 20% Nitro

Will it be ok?

Well, my wife wouldn't stick with one gas, she mixes 76 with Shell with Texaco with Chevron, with anything she carn run into with. And, the car is ok.

Just wondering though...

Solara 08-19-2004 12:48 PM

I wish nitro car can use regular fuel.....$2.00 per gallon right now still WAY WAY cheaper then a quat of those garbage blue thunder.....

Omar 08-19-2004 12:58 PM

you could buy a 1/5 scale to solve your problem j/k:D

howardjones 08-19-2004 08:41 PM

have fun racing everyone

Tried Tornado, trinity, sidewinder,o'donell, rocket science, red line, byron,mugen....then power master.. yup!!! the one they sell in hobby people..... so far Power Master is the best.. Ran it in my 1/10 and 1/8 on-road..with no problems at all.. engine tuning is very very consistent...you guys should try it..

S.Stew 08-22-2004 10:34 AM

ide like to try some other stuff, but my shop only carries like 2 kinds of fuel. O'Donnel and Traxxas.

Anyone tried Fantom?

serpentsixty9 08-23-2004 10:51 AM

i recently made a switch from blue thunder 20% to trinity monster hp 25% and its excellent, at first it wasn't running right on its first tank, so then i riched the low end and it took off, same oil content as o'donnell but more nitro %.

Johnnytc3 08-23-2004 11:59 AM

I tried power master 30 this weekend, i ran all day and temps were within 10 degrees F, not only is it consistent, when i opened up the engine to check for wear and discoloring, the piston was still shiny and everything still looked new!! I was running maxy and rocket science 30 before but this will be my new fuel :D

mcsquish 08-26-2004 10:10 AM

I tried some Fantom 30% and it seemed to run a bit better than Sidewinder, but I only ran a quort. I haven't had any problems with Sidewinder though.
