I went there to test the engine so in general was good. I pre qualify 14th but the gear messed me up .
That 16T first gear is stupid. Never use that 16t on 710 again ( unless you use shitty power engine )
The pitch is too sharp so it will eat the first gear. It was all too late when I found out from suruth and his mechanism why I am having that problem.

The Competition level is high. look forward to the next one.

I will call it "unperfect"module for that 16T.
No problem when used with 60T, but when using 61T must grind the engine mount hole a bit.

yeah . . it's more interesting if it's just a few pix but alot of pix become quite boring . . especially when the racers don't bring their pretty g/f along . . .

anyway I went there, snapped the pix one by one, render them to size one by one, upload them one by one, relook at them one by one (to see if non of my underwear pictures are in there). . now it's your turn to look for your friends one by one

14th? Maybe I'm wrong but I thought 13th and 14th placing belonged to a Singaporean drivers...

Perhaps your engine was too powerful ! I noticed that you need to mesh them very tightly with the 16T pinion. It will get free after a tank or two. If you mesh them loose, it'll strip. I never had problems with mine. A friend of mine initially had that problem with 16T/61T combo but later found out that the mounting from the aluminum engine mounting to the engine craskcase was not tightened properly.

I also noticed that if you use new set of spurs and pinions, the meshing gets better. If you used new 1st pinion with old 2nd pinion and spurs, you will find that meshing it correctly would make the meshing tight.

Kit, I tried it last night at my indoor track. It works fine, new 16 and new 60.

I also tried 16 and 61 but had too much pickup and I was overshooting. Meshing was slightly tighter.
