Hey guys, im having a little bit of trouble with my 733,

the problem is my acceleration in 1st gear, it just isnt snappy until it winds out a bit. the clutch is right so i know its not that.

i think it lies in my gear ratio

here it is

1st 17t-59t
2nd 22t-54

they top speed in second is good so i dont need to worry about that

would something like a 16t - 59t would be a better combo,

thanks

mitch

I'd choose to run 17-61 first as the 16t is a bit of a gear chewer if not precisely set.
The rest is in the clutch.

i used to run 16t with the wc clutch and all i can say is to avoid using it
if you can. Needs to be changed frequently in order to avoid the spur from
going bad. After all, changing from 59 to 61 will give about the same result.

i have used 16/61 for a long time, and only done one spur when the one way locked up ? i feel there isnt an issue with a 16t pinion ???

what can i say, i used all year a 16/61 and had to change 2-3 times the 16T
pinion before damanging the spur. Switched to 17T and spurs/pinions are like new.

My local distributor said retail was around $140.

I could be wrong though, someone confirm.

Not concerned with the price. I truely believe Serpent has an idea what the system cost. I think they're unsure what people are willing to pay for it. They are the first on the block with this type of system(other than you). Only time will tell.
