That's the way Worlds are always run. Everyone is split into 2 groups, A and B.

A group runs two rounds in the morning, then B group 2 rounds in the afternoon. The next day they swap, B runs in the morning, A in the afternoon.

I asked on LiveRc and I never got an answer.

Well, its the worlds, what else are they going to do if they're not racing? I get your point though. One problem I see with this is that not everyone get the same conditions. The guys that run tomorrow morning, heat 8-14, will have to run on a green track with all the rubber washed away by the rain. If I were the those guys I'd be pissed!!

Well Sam the rain was not my fault this time!

Terrible luck with weather at all the major onroad races in the US this year!

This is not typical weather here for this time of year. We never have this many rainy days in a row.

I have always wondered when making plans like dates for these big races is anyone looking up the weather almanac for past years, it tells you that this is common at this time of year. Oh well hopfully it will all work out.

Well I'm sure Sam had something to do with the weather. Its got to be someones fault, may as well be his. LOL

As Sean said the Worlds are always run this way. This way at some point during Q everyone will theoratically run at the same times of the day during the 3 days of qualifying. Once in the morning and afternoon then both in the am and both in the pm.
Having been to the last 3 1/8th Worlds this works very well and does seem to equal things out a bit.

wiki for Houston, TX

Rainfall is the most common form of precipitation in Houston. The wettest month is June, with 6.84 inches (174 mm) of rain.

July and August receive 4.36/4.54 inches on average. February has the least rain with 3.01 inches. If I had to previously pick a month that didn't rain much and was nice I would have said October. 5.26 inches, so I was wrong :P

The good part about living in houston is that it can rain in "houston" except only 10% of the city will get hit.

Miami is screwed after April for 2011 Worlds if you go by avg rainfall, goes from 2.85 inches to 6.2 in May and gets worse for 3 months.
