Aaron or anyone else..... I just switched to the Evolva and have a few good used clutches from some buyouts I made. Not knowing exactly what clutch springs are in these clutches, how do I find out?? Measuring diameter/ number of coils??
Two look grey-ish and the other brown/red-ish. Is there a way to know by checking coil diameter, # of coils or on a spring machine?

The Longer Greyish one (10mm) is the one you want to use , it is known as the 4D spring. The shorter greyish one is what comes with the 3D kit and the redish one is used by somepeople but not often.

The second choices are the 10 mm JP Worlds spring and the 4D Kyosho spring - it's decent.
I would, also, recommend drilling out the puck to 4mm, all three holes. Brings the RPM up just a touch before the clutch engages.

I had to put about 2- 3mm of shims behind the collet before it would tighten down. Is this common? It was on a new 35Plus21.

Thanks Uriah.
I was just using what was in my pit box. Guess I'll have to get some Kyosho colletts.

It's a shame that one has to spend $70.00 plus to get these blocks...and then another $100.00 for the 07 update update kit...if you only have an 05. For those with an 05 WCE...the cost is less.
