Try fitting a blow up sheep doll to the rear of the car. This will provide additional downforce to stabilise the rear end on fast corners.

Alternatively, use the other car in the cupboard. That one was plenty stable.

Love ya D.

seems like i got a bit unlucky with my kit. some screws are missing, a diff shaft was faulty, the manual is an outdated version that shows inexistent parts and wrong screw sizes, some of the parts fit together quite poorly with either big gaps between them or too tight fit that need to be hammered in place.

thats all i have encountered so far and i have prepared about half the car. they got very good service though and they respond to the problems immediately so i trust everything will go well eventually.

yep no worries s.b i will bring the gumboots specially for you next club day
but unfortunately this car is now more stable than the car on the shelf all issues
now solved had the body mounted to far forward which was not allowing enough rear down force so the velox has more steer and rear bite than the xray hope ya leg gets better soon mate ps come down next club day and see the car preform
cheers smuggs

Thumbs up

Hey Guys,

My new V10 will be here on Monday and was just wondering what tricks and tips you guys have for me during the build.

Hanging out to get it looks like a good car, Smuggler what did you do to get the rear to settle down.

I will be putting the kit setup on for starters then go from there. Hopefully be down the track with it in the next couple of weeks for testing.

Cheers,
Michael

Hi Michael what i would suggest for moorebank is build it as kit set up but i would put 600sct oil in the rear shocks and 500sct in the front the problem i had was when i ran the protoform p37n body the rear end would just spin out on high speed corners not enough rear down force i re tested the car with a p56 body and the rear end was so planted and then went back to the p37 and it just kept spinning out on high speed corners and use the grey springs on the front and green on the rear
but our track here in lilydale is getting bumpy so you might not have that rear end problem there i can tell you they have awsome steer and good acceleration hey mike pm me your number so as i can have a chat to you
cheers smuggs

Default Steering knuckles

quick question
i got my car last season and purchased quite a few parts with the car..
and all the steering knuckles are the ones that are extremely fragile.
Any ideas on what to do with these parts.
will shepherd replace?
How do I know/tell which are the new improved version?

car was fantastic as long as I didn't tap or look at a corner the wrong way.

Any help would be appreciated.
I would like to run this car this season if at all possible.
