Which items on the car are considered common break items and stress related breakages?

In a normal race hit, the only things that really break are the front steering blocks.
This is as long as you get the updated kit with the longer rear arms, thicker upper bumper, thicker rear shock tower, and newer dogbones (not brittle like original dogbones). The only other problems come from axle wear, which can easily be prevented by regularly greasing the dogbone pins.

Good summary Arun.;) Is there any mention about newer dogbones? I have not heard of it.

It was not something that was really mentioned outright, but the original dogbones, like the ones included in most kits, used to snap easily on impacts. The new ones will bend before they break, much like on the impulse/705. The new ones are obviously heavier, though I have not weighed them. They also seem to be darker in color. The original ones had a slight fade to them. They have been available for a while now.

They are not really worth buying if you can get the 835 shafts though.

Wouldn't that add more drag with the grease?

Is that the universal with the outdrives?

I never noticed a difference before/after. Even so, the 710 probably has the most free drivetrain of any belt gas car.

:weird: I don't understand what you are asking here.

Well, usually the universal is the shaft with the axel. What exactly are you referring to with the 835?

He meant the regular OLD spring steel dog bones.

What Pyramid said is correct. I'm sure you know how durable the spring steel is. If serpent releases universals, I will never buy them. Once you put spring steel in your car, you can quit worrying about your drivetrain. I have the HUDY spring steel wheel axles (#801214) combined with the 835 spring steel driveshafts (#808320) and custom modified spring steel one-way outdrives (#808223) in the front of my car:D . I bought the dogbones, and had the other parts left over from my 705. The rear of my car is all stock. I re-grease the rear dogbone pins on a semi-weekly basis to prevent axle and diff wear.

Here is a crude pic of the front drivetrain.
