I think Dennis is using the Red Rulon shoes. More grippy than the yellow ones.

Ah, yes, I remember him saying about this now. That would certainly mean a faster delivery of power and therefore the potential for more wheel spin.

 I haven't got a chance to fully stretch the legs of the 710 and the Massimo with the yellow shoes and the modded flyweights (with set screws) yet on long tracks. The last time was only with the modded flyweights and black shoe.

Something to consider, this 710 is using lowest IR 1.875
So watch out that your powerfull engine will peaks at faster point than at others car.

I think you got a valid point there. That's the whole reason for the lower internal drive ratio.:sneaky:

The tip is to lube the edge of the dogbones very sparingly with a Serpent Bearing Oil lube. I think this was mentioned on mytsn before. For me, I use a drop of shock oil and rub it evenly at the tip and the wear is good.

You could change the pins on the dogbones yourself. If you can get the same size pin (3 mm I think), just take a hammer and replace the pins out. Hudy used to make a special tool for this but I guess it's very difficult to find it nowadays.

I been using the Mugen Super Grease which is yellow in color :weird:

Be careful. I think Mugen Super Grease is too sticky for that application. Instead of making it smooth, it attracts sand and dirt and grinds the dogbones like sandpaper. The Serpent Bearing Lube apparently does not attract dirt too much. My 2 cents.

There always something to trade-off.

As usual, good speed. But still need some re-setup to get some off throttle cornering speed. And why Serpent (at least in here) looks like always suffered on high speed chicane and "S" turn from other car?
