thanks punisher, also i have the lock set for the one-way. My question is should i install the collar that came with the lock set and keep the collar on all the time if i want to try the solid axle all i have to do is insert the pins.
Yes. I believe Glenn Cauley suggested to use it even though you use oneway. This is to keep dirt and dust out of the oneway bearings.

Does this method set the max travel accurately, i.e. give max possible throttle?
As long as you can open the throttle fully and everytime you WOT, then it should be OK. Of course, the servos should not strain so much when the throttle slide is fully open.

Can i put the serpent 50wt silicine diff. lube on the truss bearing (please correct my spelling) instead of the graphice grease?
The Serpent 50wt shock oil is still to thin for the thrust bearing. You need sticky grease.

For your info, 3 Racing also has them. Not as big as the one on Punisher's car though.

I believe dry graphite powder lube is expensive for the small amount you get. Why do you mix with diff lube? I believe you can get the wet type of graphite grease very easily and cheaply.

BTW, if you already have the Mugen Super grease, use that on the thrust bearings.

Are those 3 racing swing shafts any good?

I leave Punisher's mod colari behind with my ns12s3. I haven't compare side by side but it feels about the same at the throttle w/ the ns12.

 As for the bumber brace....I needed strength and not just bling-bling. That picture was taken after the head on crash, but with a new shock tower only replaced!

Pit racers exhaust pipe

I am trying to learn to determine what shape of pipes denote a low end or high end or good overall pipe.

from looking at Pits races pipe, i would say that is more of a high end pipe / overall.

correct?

thanks

I feel for me, too  as for Heemstede, i have two words for you: Girlfriend & Birthday   And maybe it'd be a bit excessive just to run my engine in

This is where my question came from. The servo starts to strain and flexes the carbon plate when it pulls the last little bit on the throttle linkage. But once I took the air filter off and looked at the throttle movement within the throttle barrel, I could see that before the linkage had reached the end of its travel, the throttle had already cleared the throttle barrel, i.e. no longer visibile.
Also, at this point, the servo isn't straining.

Cheers, Mark.

710 FAQ

A small update to the FAQ - this time including tips on Engine tuning/break-in - useful for me :D

The next big overhaul is planned, but time is short at the moment, so it'll probably take a while before I can do this.

Cheers, Mark.
