Thanks "D". I'm just going to have to give setting up the car a try another night. Maybe I'll reread over the FAQ page when I have a clear head!:weird: Hey "D", do you do what Julius has described in the FAQ page?

Just follow what he describes step by step. It's pretty easy. I did it myself to test out what was described and it worked out fine and was pretty easily done.

But all in all, I'm still not having the need to put on the front sway bar yet... When I switch to a oneway front, I'm sure it'll come in handy.

60%? I don't think there was ever a discussion about using 60% nitro. Mike would have flipped if he heard that ! I believe only the boat people use 60% nitro...

"I normally use 30% from powermaster because thats what my LHS carries but now they got some 40% odonnel and I already bought it so what can I expect from going from 30% to 40%. Also how good is this engine I am planning on using it in my new NRS-RR12L5. Or should I stick with the 30% I havent opened it yet so I can always change it."

Good choice on the engine !!
Just beware the CAR number (comp. ratio if Im not wrong) is quite big for that engine.
This is my experience on last race, using RR12L3 and byron 16%
(ambient temp is about 32-33 C, track temp almost 65C, humid is very high)
Since this is a new engine for me ,im having a trouble to tune it right on 3x heat.
On the final I decide to reduce the head shim to .25 mm (stock is .3mm) and it blast everything in front of it.

So if I were you, and had to use 40% nitro... I will put .5 shim first and then reducing it by .05 mm

Just my 2cents
(Guys..pls explain to me what this 2 cents means? I keep seeing it and I thought it very cool so I keep writing it..)

Well thanks for that problem solving answer you gave me.

The wheel hubs as in 801215 or the wheel hex adaptor 801218?

Both of them from meant for the front parts of the 705 fits the 710 all around in front and rear. If you're looking for the 801215 wheel hubs, go for the 801214 wheel hubs which is made of the stronger Hudy springsteel.

Strange... Was it here on the 710 thread or was it somewhere else? Care to point it out?

Usually, I try not to miss out on any post on the 710 forum even when I'm out unless I purposely want to ignore them ! :D

A lot of guys in France are keen on high nitro in the 1:8th 2WD Flatpan class. When they come over here you could watch them put a little straight fuel in the bottom of the tank and just pump in the majority of a tank of straight nitro.

But in general it is mainly only boat and aero guys that use 60%. When I think about it there is a possibility it was mentioned by M. Salven on the Mytsn site. Could have been a misprint.
