When Turn Marshalls Attack!!!!!

The only way to stop Marcos 710 was for the turn marshalls to run out and step on his car!

Well I have just got back from my LHS with a snake under my arm, I am still a little unsure of my decision (you are welcome to give support) of getting rid of my r40 and buy a 710.
Well I will start building and see what happens.

I know this is an easy newbie question but I keep forgetting what oversteer and understeer means. It gets confusing when your friends keep telling you different things everytime. I think they are lost as well as me. So maybe someone can clear things up so that I can write it down this time

Understeer means that the car can't steer enough, i.e. the front end tries to keep going straight although you are trying to turn. Also this is termed "push", i.e. the car pushes straight ahead even when you apply steering.

Oversteer means that the car turns too much. This is caused when the rear wheels loose traction and the car's back end tries to swing round. This is also termed "loose", i.e. the back end of the car is loose when steering or applying throttle.

Hope this helps.

Oversteer is when the tail tends to come loose in a turn ergo turn too much .
Understeer is when you turn your wheels and the maldito tends to keep on going straight.

I prefer to face oversteering and not under... its faster to correct

Rodrigo, all your worries will dissapear when you start to build the car! It is simply a dream to work on  I would be tempted to buy a second one, simply to build it once more.
Then check out the support you get here! I'm sure you won't get this level of help anywhere else.

Welcome aboard!

Here's a copy of the 710 FAQ which has some good hints on building the car.

Cheers, Mark.

Centax3 mod

Heya, InitialD !

Someone suggested I ask you about how to modify the Centax3 clutch shoes. What is the latest, best way to do it?

Sorry... I know this is the lazy way to ask... but with 200 pages in this thread I don't want to spend a lot of time browsing... not if you have the answer at the top of your head.

Can you help me out?

You see This is way I changed to the 710 I have support and anwsers right away. So far its been easy to build and the quality seems just great. I cant say the instructions are great but I think its just a matter of getting used to it (first serpent)
