Ummm, more compression? Of course more compression is always better at the expense of high wear and more chances of detonation. What plug were you using? Usually, with a Nova pipe, Novarossi engines are spot on !

0.25 mm shim? Those aren't Novarossi shims right?:sneaky: :D

I may be wrong but I know aero guys use less nitro than on road guys. More like 5% or 10%...

That's $490.69
That's the price of a .21 engine.
And they say 1/8 racing is expensive.

Mostly yeah, but some do use high quantities.

That other discussion started on page 240 of this thread with Julius saying about EFRA restrictions to 16% and also carries on on page 243

Very unjustifable. I dont care who's name is on an engine. Not a single .12 engine (including our Palmaris PS12) is worth more than 300 Euro.

When you start racing competitively, all bars are raised no matter which class you are in !

I think in the recent 1/8th scale WC in Ohio, the Kyosho factory guys were like using one engine per heat with 4% lube fuel !

Also remember that the Pylon guys (Aero racing) use no nitro... But those morors are animals to tune, and dont idle very well.

What does "use the cam of the sway bar" mean? What is the sway bar cam? There are the droop screws that go through the bumper plate and then there are set screws that are on the plastic sway bar holders. Both sets of screws affect droop, correct? Once I get this sway bar cam thing sorted out I think I have the rest understood?

Hey Palmaris, What are the palmaris motors like compared to the Nova NS12S3A1, I have not run my motor yet, I am waiting for my kit to arrive as I have a pipe coming with it.

Using high nitro content fuels in planes is simply crazy. A friend of mine tried to use 25% in his plane. It was too powerful alright to the extend that he cannot shut the engine off. Cutting the air to the carb still made the engine combust by itself for a good while !

Ahah... it was only you discussing about the pros and cons and the effects of using higher nitro content though. Will check it out.
