Naaw, I see no 710R on the horizon, in a year, sure, but for the coming season 710 is what we will race... The car is so new, it still has not been in one single major race, so it would be bad marketing strategy for Serpent to release a new model before most people even have their 710:s built... They are going to release some optionals though, but that is just what they are, optionals...

No guys it's true! There is a new 710R due to be released in a few months.... The 'R' stands for "Reinforcment" Reinforcement is another word for back-up car! I'll be getting another 710 reinforcment in March, just before our season starts.

The S710 may come in March with the new rims and maybe the front ball diff, but nothing major.

Got my first look at a 710 up close and personal today. what a piece of work. All I can say is Serpent sure did optimise that thing, everything is tiny and small, I guess its what I figured an XRay Nitro would have looked like. Nice job guys. Looking at its rotating hardware I can see whay it accelerates like people say it does.

Hey Dennis, hopefully I'll have it all finished up by our next club meeting before I take it to the Winternats. I'm going to be taking my Yokomos too, for a backup car and for a side by side comparison. Unfortunately I'll have to break in a new NS12 motor and I don't think I'll get the chance to do this any other time, its too cold out there!

With Futaba 9550 steering servo, 9301 throttle servo, personal transponder, kit tires cut to 61.5 mm, TL 8080 Alfa 156 body, car weight is 1704 Gm. I have an additional dual connector in the battery lead which probably account for the slightly higher weight than others have reported.

I have the same connector.
Maybe coz Im using 2x S9550 so it only weights 1670 gr.
Now, after replace all to Ti screw became 1655 gr.
I do this coz i need to place 60 gr lead beside tank (pipe side).
And M. Green was right, it cures the slight pull to the right when throttle applied.

Agreed.
This time the snake is going into right direction with one shoot.
Test it personally, roll center adjustability sure will be a (standard) platform for other new cars after this.
Very low IR will be taking into consideration too.
Till now, I spend almost 3 gallon and my cars still rolls very nicely without bearing maintenance. Its like black and white if comparing to 705. Does not mean 705 is bad (I still keeping mine) just totally different.

In the above configuration, except without wheels, I measure the fore/aft CG location at Station 197.3 measured from the foreward end of the chassis, aft, in mm. (Slightly different scale than Boeing or North American might use, but similair principle). Does this agree with what you know?
