Oh right ... well, the team drivers started with the *spit* 3Racing ones and then now have the prototype Serpent ones. You're both right then, we'll have to wait. Same with the shocks too.

The shim is only needed with the older black 1st gear pinion. The newer gold or silver ones do not need it.
Could someone pls confim this?
What is the difference between the older and the newer first gear pinions beside the color? How can I be 100% sure if I have to use the shim or not? I want to get it right, so please advice again...

Serpent Build
Hi all,
I purchased a second hand 710 last weekend and have a few questions regarding the (re) build. The car came with new (optional) aluminium fr anti roll bar supports, however there is quite a bit of binding when I set them on the pins. Any ideas?
I also noticed that the new kits have orange-coated bearings, mine are purple, have there been different versions of the kit since its commercialisation?
The quality of the kit is quite remarkable, and I am starting to understand what all the fuss is about! Can't wait to hit the tarmac this week!

The batch with its purple bearing has some improvement along the way. The orange bearing batch has the most updated improvement including thicker rear shock tower until now.

Have guys with the low CG chassis found any improvement in lap times?
My 710 is flying at the moment, a practice run today saw my best laps times and I really enjoyed pulling away from the National champ Now all I need is to do that on a race day!!

Has anyone tried a Lipo battery to power their radio gear?

Thanks Mark, I may have to look at getting one.
I just hope if I spend lots of $$ on my 710 that a new car doesn't come out before the Worlds.
