Middle Shaft Steel

What might caused a groove underneath the bearings on the middle shaft steel (#802161) ? As far as maintenance goes, the bearings are in good condition.

It came to a point where one of the bearings got stucked on it, the only way to get the bearing off was to smoothen the groove using a dremel tool, the middle shaft was then salvaged.

Heat and friction !

Before assembly, rub some oil on the shaft where the bearings will be rolling. That would reduce the chances of the bearing scouring the shaft.

Thanks for the input as usual, D.

Yup it looks a lot like the Centax spring but then again, our stock kit Centax spring diameter is 1.7 mm while the Centax II optional spring is 1.8 mm. Not 1.4 or 1.3 mm respectively that I've measured. Centax spring in the kit is gold in colour and this is silver !

Hopefully somebody can explain.

D

I just just been ordering some goodies and I noticed there is a servo spring black for the 950, perhaps this is a similar spring put in the wrong kit?

Still working on the setup, though - after one o'clock here :( Clouds still looking heavy and I've got a lot of tweaking work to do - and charge my batteries.

Well, sacrifice the rabbits. You might just buy enough time to do the set-up!

Phew! finished - well, I'll have a look down to the track to see if it is at all driveable - i.e. not too many leaves on the circuit!

Hey Mark, it looks like there are some bugs with that photoshop filter !

1. No fuel tubing? How does one expect to start the engine?

2. Pipe looks like it did not get the full effect from the filter.

3. Shock tower ! It's not broken !

4. Rubber tires? You've got to be kidding me.
