Thanks sparsky ! You're certainly a genius !

I actually have the same blue and red allen drivers as in the pics. I believe they are from Team Magic but I don't think they make them anymore. I'm still trying to locate the spare tip for the 2 mm allen (red handle). Besides the Hudy, those are my favourites actually as they allow your to tighten allen screws tightly by forming a T wrench when you slot an allen driver in the hole of the other handle.

sparsky, I see that you already have the 710 or is that still on order?

sparksy 12-14-2003 11:56 PM

Its still on order... but it should be here by the end of the week.

Well mine is almost finished but i can't get the reciever protector mounted if all the wires are connected, and i'm using a futuba micro reciever...
Any comments JUlius?
Thanks in advance...:)

And some advice for everyone.....
If you're mounting the(Don't know the name:blush: ) Big aluminuim screws for the pivot balls... Use a HUDY tool, otherwise you can't get them straight in :D :D

Is it raining at the moment? I hear that they are above zero at the moment. I thought the weather was perfect (though below zero) that you guys had skating at the dikes about a week or two ago. :D :sneaky: What's the weather like now?

Pivot ball retainer adjusting screws (808344)? So they still do not line up straight? Yes, they require 10 mm allen drivers. The Hudy Glowplug (107581) is the one you're reffering to, right?:sneaky: :D

Won't a normal allen key work?

Any pics? Which Futaba Rx is this? The one that comes with the 3PK / 3PJS?

I guess if you have a T type allen driver, it would be easier to align the nut to retain the pivot ball like the Hudy Glowplug wrench.

I find that the normal L shape allens would be difficult to mount it straight. Don't know why. Perhaps we lack assembly skills !

I would have thought you could line it up and start to screw it in with your hands? I haven't built a serpent though...

From the ones that I have built (705 / Impulse), a slight tilt will make the pivot ball retainer screw slant. The threads a corse and rough. So it does not leave you with a lot of margin for error.

What I do is I grease these pivot ball retainer screws a little. Thread them by hand into the steering knuckles as far as I possibly can and use the Hudy tool to slowly screw them in. Once you see them begin to slant, back out and do again.
