I saw a couple of 966 cars come up in the for sale forum. It maybe worth considering buying one of them as a parts car?

Any 966 will do as the parts you need didnt change between the 966 versions. You might be better off upgrading to the SL8 gearbox which would solve your centre pulley issue. Also as we near the end of the outdoor season you might be lucky and find a cheap used 977!

Haha, yes the car is still fast enough! It's a bit "lazy" compared to the Viper, but It still runs great!

Either engine is perfect for you. I prefer novarossi personally and the ISON is a great engine! Enjoy your 966...

Yes, mostly. All apart from the front upper arms and alu holders. Also the rear top link is different. The TE also has the SL8 gearbox.

I have enough parts to build 2+ cars. Let me know if you want anything. I'm keeping the shocks, driveshafts and SL8 tranny parts though.

Best thing to do is remove the shoe assembly and check for excess wear. The shoes usually last a very long time. Clean everything well and reset the springs as per the manual (download from serpent.com if you don't have the manual). Then try again. Increase the rpm very slowly and feel for the kick. If it doesn't shift then you need to check the springs to make sure they've not gotten weak over time. All else fails replace the shoes and springs which won't be an issue as the SL8 gearbox is still the same on the 977.

Also make sure the drive pin is installed through the shaft. I've left that out before lol!

Everything that Dan_Vector stated above is 100% correct but just want to add in that you need to make sure the bell and shoe are clean and oil free - system depends on some friction to make the lock and any amount of oil will drive you crazy.
