for those still using composite gears like myself, this shims might improve wear
these are part 964050 xray 5x15x0.3 shims
in 2 weeks will arrive to the us steel gears as km optionals are not yet available

hi guys,
i'm having heaps of trouble with setting the clutch and the 2 speed on this. any tips? I got it set on factory settings but the clutch will not engage so i keep loosening the spring tension nut to finally get it to bite, but there's no punch to it and seems to slip quite a bit before willing to move.
thanks heaps in advance!

I would take a close look at the end stopped for the clutch, a whole heap came drilled off center, which makes setting the clutch problematic, mine has never been quite spot on, and have still yet to get one drilled properly, with it effecting both clutch and I think maybe the two speed, cause mine tends to alter it's shift into second and I can't put a finger on it yet either.
What measurements are you using? are you setting the clutch spring nut flush with the flywheel nut as per manual? and how much is the distance from your A-B? (sorry i dont know what that is called...maybe end float?)

A-B point, well that is your gap and your end float, you set your gap without the inside bearings fitted, aim for .3-.4mm with stock weights in stock configuration, end float with all bearings should be .1mm, basically no end play but then no binding either.
Keep in mind again though, if you got one of the off drilled end stoppers, you will struggle to get these settings, and it will give you a headache trying to set the clutch.
